Edinburg CISD will hold an emergency meeting this Thursday to discuss filing a lawsuit against Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
The meeting is expected to start at 12:00 p.m.
According to the meeting agenda, the Edinburg CISD school board will discuss approving a resolution “regarding the necessity that the school board be able to make local decisions regarding the health and safety of its students and employees.”
During a closed session portion of the meeting, officials will meet with attorneys to have a discussion about filing a lawsuit against Abbott and state of Texas related parties.
